Dr. Jorge González Villagra, es profesor de la carrera de Agronomía, del Departamento de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Acuícolas de la Universidad Católica de Temuco. Él recibió su Doctorado en Ciencias de Recursos Naturales de la Universidad de La Frontera, con énfasis en Fisiología Vegetal y Biología Molecular. Actualmente, su investigación está centrada en estudiar los mecanismos fisiológicos y moleculares de plantas agrícolas sometidas a estrés hídrico, enfocándose en las hormonas vegetales. En su trayecto profesional, el Dr. González ha recibido reconocimientos por parte del Colegio de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Chile, La Asociación de Productores de Semillas de Chile y La Universidad Católica de Temuco por sus destacados méritos académicos y personales. Actualmente, el Dr. González mantiene redes de contacto con la Universidad de La Frontera y la University of Minnesota, Estados Unidos.
